Šime Gligora completed his studies in dairy science at the Faculty of Agriculture in Zagreb. As an excellent student, he received the dean's award for exemplary success in his studies and co-authored a professional article while still a student. In 2005, he joined his parents in the family cheese factory in Kolan and gradually took over the management of the business, becoming the company's director in 2010. In 2009, he led the project for the financing and construction of a new cheese factory facility in Kolan, co-financed through EU funds, with a total value of 3 million EUR. In the following years, Gligora Cheese Factory achieved numerous successes at international competitions and expanded its sales and production through investment in its own commercial operations. Today, its products are present in all leading trading houses, hotels, and restaurants. The cheese factory has founded its own chain of currently 10 delicatessen stores under the Gligora Cheese & Deli brand, as well as a modern webshop through which it also sells outside of Croatia. Today, around 70 people are employed in the companies managed by Šime Gligora, cooperating with about 80 partners - milk producers. Happily married and father of four children.
