Davor Butković was born in Zagreb in 1965 and has professionally worked in journalism since 1981. He has written in Žuboks, Polet, Studentski list, Start, Danas, Mladina and Nedjeljna Dalmacija. Since 1992, he has held the position of deputy editor-in-chief of Globus. He was also chief editor from 1995 to 1997, then from 2000 to 2002. Butković was also one of the founders of Jutarnji list, where he held positions of deputy editor-in-chief, from 1998 to 2000, from 2002 to2007 and from 2008 to 2014. From 2007 to 2008, he was the director of the EPH publishing house. He was one of the founders of the Blue Oyster Cult, and has published six books, five of which were about food and wine.
