David Štampar is the successor of the Štampar Winery, which has been one of the pillars of Međimurje viticulture for decades. From an early age, he pushed his way into working with vineyards and cellars, and by the second grade of primary school, he had decided to pursue a career in winemaking. After primary school, he enrolled in the Economic School in Čakovec, majoring in agricultural technician, and continued his education at the Faculty of Agriculture in Zagreb. There, he became a master of agronomy engineering and soon received a national certificate of a professional evaluator. Since 2014, he has been the manager of grape and wine production and has been managing the winery. Today, he continues to improve and learn firsthand by visiting world-famous wine regions. His wines have been recognized and awarded by domestic and foreign experts, and a confirmation of quality came from one of the most prestigious international wine competitions – the Decanter World Wine Awards.
