Vehid Šaldić’s culinary career began in a hotel in Pula, where he worked as a kitchen assistant. He worked his way up through the positions of sous chef and head chef in various coastal hotels before deciding to pursue a career as a private chef and culinary consultant. He also held the position of corporate chef, leading a team of over 30 people across multiple kitchens simultaneously. He became known to the public through culinary competitions, most notably winning the title of Junior Champion at Biser Mora (Pearl of the Sea), the largest culinary competition in this part of the Mediterranean and Europe, bringing together top professionals from around the world. He is perhaps best recognized for winning second place in the first season of Hell’s Kitchen, where he became a fan favorite, known for his strong opinions, excellent cooking, and infectious smile. Just four months ago, Vehid opened his own restaurant in Rijeka called ""Il Mondo"", where he now showcases his full potential.
