Chef Richard Camarena started his culinary journey after finishing his studies, in a small restaurant in the heart of Valencia, where he approaches cooking in a new way. Creating the foundations of his distinctive cooking style, chef Camarena extracts the best from indigenous ingredients and local recipes. After three years, he opened the restaurant Arrop, which was declared a 'discovery' at the Madrid Fusion Gastronomic Summit. In 2007, Richard also received the title of the Valencian Academy of Gastronomy for the best chef, a Michelin star for Arrop and opened the FUDD restaurant in Valencia. In 2009, he renovated the old Valencian Palace, where Arrop was reopened, and continued to win numerous awards, another Michelin star and three Repsol Suns awards. The restaurant later changes its name to Richard Camarena Restaurant and continues with a string of successes; award for the best creative restaurant, ninth place in the Smart Green Guide. Camarena was also named the best foreign chef by the Italian guide Identita Golose.
