Matija Babić was born in 1978 in Zagreb. He has been a Croatian online entrepreneur, media worker and socio-political activist since 1999. He is the founder of a number of online and offline projects, including the Index.hr portal, which in April this year became one of the 1,000 most visited websites in the world according to the leading global traffic survey, Similarweb. However, he considers TasteAtlas to be his life’s most important project - a world atlas of local and traditional food launched several years ago.
