Gaia Zec is a Croatian chef, widely recognized for her participation in the cooking competition MasterChef Croatia 2023. Thanks to her creativity and exceptional culinary skills, she stood out among the contestants, winning the audience’s affection and earning praise from the expert jury. Following that success, Gaia continues her professional rise and is currently leading the kitchen at the restaurant Ponte Porton, where she brings her imagination to life every day through her dishes. She discovered her true passion for gastronomy during her school years. Although she initially enrolled in a general high school, she soon followed her calling and transferred to culinary school. A turning point in her culinary journey came in 2019 when her mother opened a restaurant — it was there that Gaia gained her first serious experience working in a professional kitchen, further solidifying her love for cooking. As an ambitious young chef, Gaia Zec is eager to share her knowledge and creativity beyond the walls of her home restaurant kitchen. She organizes private dinners, provides catering services, leads cooking workshops, and offers culinary consultations. In her work, she places a strong emphasis on plant-based cuisine and the use of seasonal ingredients, believing in a sustainable and creative approach to cooking that respects local traditions and fresh, natural produce.
