Using his ideas and experience gained from his work at the Contemporary University in Split, Alen Jerkunica participated in the launch and establishment of the Aspir College of Management and Design and the interdisciplinary professional study of Sports Management in 2008. Just one year later, in 2009, he assumed the position of president of the Governing Council of Aspira College in Split, and in 2010 he became a lecturer in the fields of social sciences, economics, and sports management. In 2013, he founded the Atlantis Maritime College for professional training and education of seafarers. In 2015, he was appointed the position of senior lecturer in the fields of social sciences and economics. Since 2018, he has held the position of dean of Aspira College, which will become Aspira Polytechnic in 2023. In addition toSports Management, Alen also offers professional study courses in Computer Science and Software Engineering, International Management in Hotel and Tourism, and Gastronomy in Split and Zagreb. Postgraduate specialist studies in Business Economics, majoring in Management at the Faculty of Economics, at the University of Split, will end in 2021. Alen Jerkunica is one of the best examples of how one can think and act entrepreneurially in the education sector, and that with a clear vision, one can innovatively follow new trends in the labor market.
